Our Story
LDI Mechanical Inc. is a family owned business, established in 1963 as Lindy Dennis Industries, purchased by Lloyd Smith in 1983. Originating in Conroe, Texas, LDI Mechanical Inc. has seen immense growth and expanded business across the nation. In 1990 we generated 3 million in annual revenue. Today we are proud to generate over 100 million in annual revenue. Lloyd Smith in his own words describes Our Story, “I was the primary journeyman for installations. I hired and trained apprentices, building the business from the ground up. I personally oversaw and implemented design, prefab, and installation operations. Since then we have grown LDI Mechanical Inc. into one of the largest mechanical contractors on the west coast that has installed over 1,000,000 units and continue to repeat business with satisfied customers.”
LDI Mechanical Inc.’s leadership is a family affair. Owners Lloyd, Robert, and Mike Smith continually outperform the previous year’s production, analyzing current market trends and industry benchmarks. Diversifying their business in multi-family, commercial, and sheet metal has aided in LDI Mechanical Inc.’s longevity. Having the in-depth knowledge of the HVAC industry from their days of installing, Lloyd, Mike, and Robert provide a level of expertise that is unmatched as executives.
As a family owned and operated company we prioritize our employees and customers over everything. Out of over 575 employees, more than 25% have been with LDI Mechanical Inc. for more than 10 years, with some spanning the entire 35 years of their career.
